Is India ready for 5G smartphones? The short answer is 'no'. We do not have a commercial 5G network and there is no clear indication that they will be launched in India in the near future. Major telecom operators have been battling for the past few years after lowering tariffs on the price war, so we cannot be sure that any of them will be able to improve infrastructure across the country this year and then of course there will be a costly 5G spectrum block. When 5G rolls out, it will probably cost more than we all pay now, and it will be some time before 5G-enabled phones become common.

The Realme X50 Pro 5G is ready and features a top-notch Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. In terms of performance, this device is great for gaming as well as general productivity. Realm uses high-speed RAM and storage plus a 90Hz display for a faster overall experience. This is a mid-range flagship phone that can really accept many expensive models in the market.

The X50 Pro 5G is available in two muted color options and it looks quite premium with its glass and metallic body. However, the rear is slippery and this phone is a bit heavier and heavier. What you will notice first is the dual-camera cutout in the upper left corner of the screen.

The display is sharp and the speakers are amazingly powerful. You get four rear cameras with 2 x optical zoom cameras. We found the photos to be very good in general, even shot with low-resolution wide-angle and zoom cameras. However, the pictures taken at night were not always great and the 4K video looked artificial
