Samsung Galaxy A50 Update 2020,Samsung Galaxy A50 users have repeatedly reported performance issues with the phone's in-display fingerprint sensor, and the company has tried to fix them through updates in the past.

Samsung has now made another update, claiming that the Galaxy A50's fingerprint sensor fixed the misery.

The update also brings November's Android security patch and is currently rolling out to a group of European countries.

However, it turns out that instead of fixing fingerprint sensor issues, the update made it worse for the Galaxy A50 users.

According to a Sammobile report, Samsung has begun creating a new update for the Galaxy A50 so that the build number is A505FNXXS3ASK9.

According to Changelog, the update improves the fingerprint recognition algorithm, which can basically increase recognition speed and accuracy.

Galaxy A50 users are advised to delete their existing fingerprint data and re-register their fingerprint on the phone after installing the update. The update also mentioned the arrival of the November security patch for the Galaxy A50.

The report notes that the 117.21MB size update is currently only available to Galaxy A50 users in European countries, which includes France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and Switzerland.

However, it turns out that users of the Galaxy A50 in India received the same update earlier this month and it has introduced more fingerprint sensor issue for them. We have reached out to Samsung for confirmation and will update this article accordingly.

We received multiple reports from the Galaxy A50 users on Twitter that the fingerprint sensor was malfunctioning after installing the November update.

In some cases, it stopped working, while others noted that it would not register their fingerprint in any way.

We also received a number of fingerprint sensor error-related complaints at the official Samsung Community Forum since the November update. Samsung has yet to pay attention to the issue and issue an official statement.
