Google Pixel 4 White Balance Correction Issue Fixed After Recent Update 2020, Google Pixel 4 has earned critical acclaim for its photography skills,

but it was recently seen spreading a strange white balance correction issue that significantly changed the color profile of images clicked under artificial light .

Google Pixel 4 appeared to surprisingly change the color red to green in the photos, which was reportedly due to a misfiring color correction algorithm for white balance adjustments.

Google appears to have taken cognizance of the issue and fixed the white balance problem of Google Pixel 4 with an update that came out earlier this month.

Google Pixel 4's white balance issue, first reported by Reddit user el nalrodriguez ', caused the images to turn yellow despite the entire source being lit by an artificial red light source. The issue reportedly changed from purple to blue,

and was suspected to be associated with HDR + processing, so that the white balance profile could be altered aggressively.

Well, the user has now added to their Reddit thread that the white balance issue of Google Pixel 4 has been fixed.

It has been mentioned that after sideloading the November security patch, the Pixel 4's white balance issue has been fixed.

And to make sure, the user said that a test was done with two pixel 4 units with one clicked images. Those running the latest software did not exhibit a white balance problem,

while other Pixel 4s without the updated software still had the problem, the user reported. However, no camera sample was attached to confirm the veracity of the issue.

The update being talked about here is apparently a Google released earlier this month for the Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL.

The changelog of this update mentions "improving camera quality" for Pixel 4, which could be an umbrella term for a wide range of tweaks to fix the problem of white balance correction of Google Pixel 4 .

We are yet to hear from Google about the camera issue on its latest flagship and if it is actually fixed.
